SUPERVISION OF TRANSFERENCE AND COUNTERTRANSFERENCE AS AN INDICATOR OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PSYCHOLOGICAL CARE IN CLINICAL PRACTICE

The article examines the phenomenon of transference and countertransference in the practice of a clinical psychologist, analyzes the key contents of transference and countertransference in supervision, and focuses on the features of supervision in view of the effectiveness of psychological assistance in the clinic. At the current stage of clinical psychologists' work with complex challenges in relation to patients with comorbid symptoms, which are often complicated by stressful conditions, supervision is an extremely necessary tool that enables mental health professionals through the analysis of transference and countertransference, to distinguish the patient's states and experiences in order to provide effective care. The supervisor's task is to help the clinical psychologist activate intellectual and emotional resources in working with patients.The main task of supervision as a tool of professional development is to monitor and improve the effectiveness of providing psychological assistance.
