PSYCHOLOGICAL MECHANISMS OF FORMING SELF-DEFENSE SKILLS OF MILITARY SERVANTS FROM NEGATIVE INFLUENCE OF THE MEDIA

Abstract

The article explores the psychological mechanisms of forming self-defense skills of military personnel from the negative impact of the media. In the conditions of modern information warfare, the media and digital platforms are becoming powerful tools for influencing the cognitive, emotional and behavioral processes of the individual. The article examines the cognitive mechanism that ensures the development of critical thinking, the ability to recognize manipulative technologies and verify the reliability of information; the emotional-regulatory mechanism that forms stress resistance and the ability to control emotional reactions to shocking or destructive content; the behavioral mechanism that manifests itself in observing information hygiene and responsible dissemination of information; the value-semantic mechanism based on national identity and military ethics, providing a psychological barrier against destructive narratives. The importance of integrating these com ponents within the framework of systematic psychological training, mandatory training activities during basic training, periods of psychological adaptation to combat operations and after their completion is shown. The role of officers of psychological support structures for personnel and commanders of units in creating organizational conditions for the development of information resilience is highlighted. The practical application of the research results contributes to increasing information security, maintaining the moral and psychological state of military personnel and increasing the combat capability of units. The results obtained can be used when developing psychological training and information security programs in military formations.
