SOCIAL DISADAPTATION IN THE CONTEXT OF VIOLATION OF THE PROCESS OF SOCIAL-PSYCHOLOGICAL ADAPTATION OF THE PERSON

Abstract

The article provides a theoretical analysis of the phenomenon of social maladaptation of the individual in the context of a violation of the process of socio-psychological adaptation. The essence of social maladaptation is revealed as a complex integrative formation that reflects the dysfunction of the interaction of the individual with the social environment and is accompanied by a decrease in the effectiveness of his social functioning. It is determined that social maladaptation manifests itself in a violation of the process of implementing social roles, deformation of selfregulation mechanisms, a decrease in the level of social activity and a complication of the integration of the individual into the system of social relations. It is substantiated that the emergence of social maladaptation is due to the complex interaction of individualpsychological and socio-psychological factors, among which the level of adaptive potential, features of emotionalvolitional regulation, stress resistance, adequacy of self-esteem and the formation of communicative skills are of leading importance. It is shown that the violation of these characteristics leads to a decrease in the ability of the individual to effectively adapt to the conditions of the social environment and the formation of maladaptive patterns of behavior. The main manifestations and types of social maladaptation are analyzed, in particular situational, temporary and persistent forms, which differ in the level of depth and stability of violations of adaptation mechanisms. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between social maladaptation and deviant behavior, which is considered one of the consequences of the violation of the processes of socio-psychological adaptation and an indicator of a decrease in the level of social integration of the individual. It is proven that social maladaptation is systemic in nature and is associated with the formation of internal and external conflicts, a decrease in social identity and the risk of marginalization. The need for a comprehensive approach to the study of this phenomenon is emphasized, combining theoretical analysis and empirical methods aimed at identifying the determinants of maladaptation and developing effective psychocorrectional strategies.
