The article examines the interaction of military personnel with their families as a key factor in increasing their resilience. The psychological, social and emotional aspects of family support are analyzed, which contribute to the adaptation of military personnel to living in stressful situations and improving their psycho-emotional state. Practical approaches to the development of family interaction as an effective mechanism for preserving the mental health of military personnel are outlined. In our article, we focus on the most painful topic for all of Ukraine - war. A war that destroys loved ones, colleagues, friends and families not only physically, but also psychologically. In Ukraine, the Russian-Ukrainian war has been going on for more than ten years. However, not all members of the public are aware of the psycho-emotional stress of Ukrainian military personnel, which they experience during their service and when performing combat missions.Reactions to the psychotraumatic factors of war cause stress in servicemen, lead to mental disorders, as well as frustration and maladaptive behavior, which manifests itself in the form of increased interpersonal conflict, limited contacts, unprecedented neglect of duties, indiscipline, low performance, increased irritability, depression and post- traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The results of an empirical study of resilience indicators are presented and their impact on marital satisfaction in the families of servicemen is determined. The priority tasks of today’s practicing psychologists are to provide professional psychoeducational, psychoconsulting, psychocorrectional, psychotherapeutic support to servicemen and their family members in order to establish effective communication, reduce the level of conflict, optimize adaptation and integration into society.
