PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT OF THE SOCIALLY VULNERABLE POPULATION GROUPS RESILIENCE THROUGH POETRY THERAPY

The article discusses psychological support for the resilience of socially vulnerable groups of the population through poetry therapy. The authors reveal the peculiarities of psychological support for resilience among socially vulnerable groups of the population through poetry therapy. A theoretical analysis of key research concepts such as resilience, poetry therapy, and socially vulnerable groups is carried out, with an emphasis on poetry therapy as a method of harmonising the psycho-emotional state maintaining psychophysiological homeostasis and psychosocial recovery of the individual through poetic works. The article emphasises the positive influence of poetry therapy on the psycho-emotional and physiological state of a person; special attention is paid to the peculiarities of the action of poetic words to ensure psychophysiological homeostasis in counteracting psychotraumatic factors. The authors have selected a set of poetry therapy measures including an adapted exercise called «Linguistic Therapy Umbrella» and an author’s selection of therapeutic materials which are presented in the work with representatives of socially vulnerable groups of the population. In the course of implementing the outlined complex, the presentation of poetry therapy elements necessarily precedes the performance of the ‘Linguistic Therapy Umbrella’ exercise and brings organisational, motivational and relaxation content. The course of the “Linguistic Therapy Umbrella” exercise involves voicing personal reflections on psychotraumatic factors, their impact on psychophysiological homeostasis and presenting specific sources of psychological resources for the individual. Finally, participants are offered a summary of their reflections in poetic form, allowing each person to find their own personal resource in this verse.
