PROVIDING THE EMOTIONAL COMPONENT OF THE PSYCHOLOGICAL READINESS OF YOUTH STUDENTS TO FIGHT THE THREATS OF A WAR OF ATTRIBUTION

Continuation of the war of attrition and the growing threats to the civilian population, particularly to student youth, require ensuring psychological readiness to counter their destructive impact. The purpose of the article is to determine the emotional component of the psychological readiness of student youth to counter ecological and epidemic threats, and to ascertain the effectiveness of psychotechnologies for its provision under conditions of a war of attrition. Empirical research was conducted on a sample of 26 individuals aged 16–18 years. The Screening Questionnaire of Psychological Readiness to Counter Ecological and Epidemic Threats in Conditions of War and psychotechnologies for its provision were used. At the first stage of the study, low levels of depression and anxiety were identified (73.1 %), average (34.6 %) and high (46.2 %) levels of optimism regarding the future, high levels of control over one's life (53.8 %), and confidence in one's own thoughts and beliefs (57.7 %). About half of the respondents reported average levels of knowledge and skills to counter ecological and epidemic threats, as well as average levels of confidence in this regard when facing them in real conditions. At the second stage of the study, the levels of independent practice of psychotechnologies by students to ensure the emotional component of their psychological readiness were determined, and the effectiveness of their use was proven. Students who reported average and high levels of their practice showed more significant indicators of average and high levels in most questions and statements compared to the group with low levels. The practical significance of the study lies in substantiating the feasibility of developing a training special course and practicum for participants in the educational process regarding ensuring psychological readiness to counter the threats of a war of attrition and preventing its disorders.
